"Putting Your Talents To Work Worldwide"

It's been said that nearly anyone can stand adversity, but if you want to test one's character, give them power. CEO Brenda Hazel is an outstanding entertainment official, with a vision that stops nothing short of achieving the best. As the Sole Proprietor of LEZAH ENTERTAINMENT GROUP SERVICES, it is her personal mission to operate over a wide spectrum of creative platforms, enabling this company to achieve non-traditional and successful means of managing careers within music, radio, television and entertainment industry. Lezah has achieved success through already established worldwide relationships. Her efforts continue to excel, catching the eyes and ears of major film directors, licensing/publishing companies, radio stations and major well-known executives in the music business and international companies who have now joined forces with Lezah Entertainment Group. Let's not dismiss the great team of advisers and internationally known entertainment attorneys whom she has known for years.  Brenda's multi-dexterous working style gives her the ability to think ahead of her time, which gives her the power to forecast the longevity of talent and success of the artists whom she represents. Lezah Entertainment Group then tailors that talent and caters to each artist specific target audiences, using the latest networking and marketing tools and technology available.

LEZAH ENTERTAINMENT GROUP SERVICES began with its first "brick laying" in the early '90s. Brenda Hazel has diligently worked with some of the music industry's most wanted artists and producers; the first artist was none other than East Saint Louis' own "Tony Suggs"; a young college graduate. (The "brick laying" began not as "Lezah Entertainment Group Services"; but only as "Brenda Hazel" and her due diligence, when it was time to make things happen.

Count Basie Orchestra Live 2009! "In A Mellow Tone"
Recorded live 2/7/09. Bill Hughes-Director, Soloists- Tony Suggs-piano, Alvin Walker-trombone. Marshall McDonald-alto, Cleve Guyton-alto, Doug Lawrence-tenor, Doug Miller-tenor, John Williams-bari, Da...
"I was devastated and in a complete state of awe when I first heard this phenomenal pianist and ensemble, (Suggs), (Pianist), Montez Coleman, (drummer) and Erika Johnson, a fabulous young straight ahead jazz singer, all performing together at BB's Jazz & Soup Club on Broadway in St Louis, but after listening to this fantasatic talents, I really couldn't understand why such an awesome unit was only playing  for food and $25.00 each artist per nite at this beautiful venue". She then took Suggs and Coleman under her wing and was determined to broaden their base. "I moved swiftly, proceeding to get them both their very first real gig, performing alongside Hugh Masakela at a Juneteenth Celebration in St Louis, MO. I will never forget the look on their faces as long as I live, they were both blown away; they were both so very excited and grateful; little did they know I had other plans in store for them, as it was my goal to improve their work base and hopefully add more happiness and success to their lives". The ending result; Tony Suggs has been the main pianist for "The Count Basie Orchestra Worldwide" for over 15 years and still is, as far as I know; (a wonderful true story of success.)

James Ross @ Peter Martin (Jazz Pianist) Quartet - Montez Coleman, Reginald Veal, Victor Goins
St. Louis jazz pianist Peter Martin along with his world class musician friends bringing the heat at the Sheldon Concert Hall. Peter is also the piano man for legendary bassist Christian McBride...

Montez Coleman, also moved to New York around the same time as Suggs, moved on to become Wynton Marsalis Drummer within months after arriving to NYC; Montez, moving on after his "never dreamed of" 2-3 year drumming stint.  I've lost contact with my wonderful friend, Erika Johnson since relocating, however, I understand she is still one of the best jazz artists in the mid-west and has returned to college to further her education and is possibly working on her doctrine. Check out this song ("IT AIN'T EASY BEING GREEN"); Erika Johnson, vocals, Tony Suggs, Piano and Montez Coleman drums!  WOW!

LEZAH ENTERTAINMENT GROUP'S drive to push its company and respective artists to new heights. Talent is key, whether they are signed, unsigned, Major or Independent artists. Providing  Lezah Entertainment Group Roster includes: progressive and innovative solutions to outside clients and seeking industry specific solutions to enhance their brands and excel their talents, Brenda has one motto that will surely keep Lezah Entertainment Group at the top of the entertainment game. "I make no apologies for my brilliance and my visions.  I am not stopping at making things just a reality, my goal is making all things an actuality", says the Virginia native. "Great music has always been my passion".

Many still attempt to piggyback, duplicate and replicate what I have stood for, for many years; this used to make me somewhat sad, but it is now thought of as, "it is, what it is".  ( Hmmmm.... that brings to mind a song by, Bob Baldwin                                     , (a contemporary jazz artist/producer and arranger) who has a song on one of his albums, "IT IS WHAT IT IS"). That particular song is one of my favorite songs from Bob Baldwin's   CD collections. Anyway, it still amazes me how people from abroad can see my ideas and even some of my visions, and often times, borrowing some of my ideas to enhance their own business without acknowledging my contribution to the end product, but it now makes me smile because it's actually a weird kind of compliment. Brenda Hazel has been blessed in so many ways to introduce some of the Lezah Entertainment Group Services Artists to venues all over the world.  One of her favorite quotes is  "it is not necessarily working harder , but to work smarter".

This company's growing success and formula is very  simple. "We are all connected, spiritually  and universally; no matter what the color of one's skin, Lezah Entertainment Group Services believes in diversity and all genres of music, gender and otherwise; great music is great music, creating much success and a strong and lasting reputation and lending a helping hand when we can. This company will not be pigeon holed as a "Black or White" entertainment company, ever! 'The Foundation' (Divine Spiritual Belief, the love and thirst for greatness regarding each end every endeavor), is what we are known for.

There are so many of us who have degrees, certificates and work related skills; please share and offer something in your downtime and volunteer to get involved in the schools, daycare centers, hospitals, nursing homes, even if it's just for a few hours a week.  Our children, grandchildren nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends and neighbors at home and abroad could certainly use a helping hand; now is the time to do it.  We can all make a difference in some way. We are all adults, we can and should take time-out to do something worthy, something to help someone else, even volunteer to go the the Foster Care Centers to hug that little sick or lost child.  Better yet, why not adopt one or two of these children.  We can do this. Let us learn to love one another all over again, and from the heart. Thanksgiving is about being thankful and giving; my Thanksgiving was spent  helping to feed the hungry and homeless.  There is no better feeling than to see a smile on someone's face when they have had a great meal and are no longer hungry.  Christmas should be everyday for everybody around the world and not just for a day's celebration.

For those who have a God given talent, use it and give something back to the communities.  Always remember your talent(s) as a gift, give something back.

We all can do just a little bit more.
